Most people feel that threading a needle requires a trained eye with perfect vision. However, we at Antardrishti feel it is not so.
This would have been a basic requirement for a differently abled worker to be able to sit independently on a sewing machine, and guide the seam as we begin to stitch. Space has been dedicated at the factory for differently abled workers to stitch apparel. The team size has increased to nearly 60 members now and our first products include uniforms for the team, and we will be making gift bags to package the other merchandise in.
We are determined to prove, even without eye-sight, differently abled people if given the right opportunity, can do the same work that an ordinary person can do.
