At this month’s Tattvadeepan program, which goes around town from region to region highlighting hidden realities behind the social initiatives of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS), Team Antardrishti has infused new life through active participation by the beneficiaries of the program.
The unique stage of Tattvadeepan is used to present the hidden realities behind social causes that the organization is serving through its social initiatives, to an invited audience in an auditorium setting with seating capacities in the range of a thousand guests.
Members of Team Antardrishti, who have formed the one and only all-blind members musical band presented an orchestrated performance of soul-stirring devotional music along with a skit that was also enacted by the differently abled members of the group.
The motivational lecture presented during the evening, brought to light the hidden realities of the life of a differently abled individual, what they endure in trying to be an included part of mainstream society. The motivational lecture during the evening was presented by Sadhvi Sashi Bharti Ji, daughter disciple of His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, who is herself visually handicapped. She shared with the audience her life experiences about not being blind from birth, and how traumatic it was to lose her vision during the course of her life, just at the time when she was applying for a job. She shared further how the Divine Knowledge of Brahm Gyan had presented her with energy to fight the trauma and look at life from within, and strive ahead towards serving mankind by helping spread the message of divinity and social inclusion for the differently abled.
The flow of the program was also conducted by Sister Suman, who is also visually challenged and disciple of His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji. During the unique evening, Team Antardrishti also presented energetic dance performances on the stage, which completely mesmerized the audience as they saw unparalleled coordination among people with disabilities, who despite their physical handicap performed exceptionally in equivalence with any performer who would be fortunate with all faculties. What is even more enthralling is the idea, that all performers work in the Antardrishti factory to make unique products, and during their work schedule, they are patronized to learn and practice culturally oriented activities which facilitates holistic development of their characters.
