For 2012 Diwali, Team Antardrishti has decided to up the level of creativity with hand-painted diyas. Workers with vision impairment will be engaged in painting terra-cotta diyas and other handicrafts to complement the candles and cookies range for the upcoming season.
They will be painted in bright colors and garnished with sparkling borders in intricate patterns which will be unbelievably attractive. Each diya will require two to three man-hours of effort and will carry the same message of independence and earning with dignity that every product created by Antardrishti takes with it.
